I talked to Shirley and Alexia and they both agree that the procedure outlined in my last post makes sense. Shirley told me that the weights in her file don't mean anything, so I should just treat them is a step function. I need to talk to David to make sure he agrees with all this.
Thinking I should post-pone my trip to Los Alamos until December. Feeling like I'd like to have the data in better shape before I get there, and the flights are cheaper.

- Book tickets for December.
- Keep looking for temp housing in Los Alamos.
